MATTHYS Rolling solutions
MATTHYS GROUP also offers a wide range of winding, cutting, and packaging solutions for both the carpet and artificial grass industries. Within the artificial grass segment, MATTHYS GROUP specifically provides three types of winders designed to produce tight, uniform rolls with a high level of precision and control—an area that traditionally presents challenges within the artificial grass industry. The first solution is a winder installed downstream of the tufting machine, enabling the production of large, high-quality rolls.
This allows customers to build intermediate stock during low-season periods in preparation for peak production demand. In addition, two further winder solutions are available: a fully automatic and a semi-automatic version, both designed to be integrated with artificial grass finishing lines. Many existing systems suffer from quality issues that can be easily resolved by replacing them with a MATTHYS winder. These winders feature expansion shafts with controlled overfeed, ensuring a stable and well-formed roll start when winding a new artificial grass roll. Furthermore, automated systems are available for roll packaging and final roll finishing.
